2:23 Secrets

"I love you"
"I love you too"
"I'll never leave you, we'll be together forever"
"Promise?"
"Promise."

_____

Taylor woke with a start as the dream reached the inevitable conclusion. Her father as a teenager. These dreams plagued her since her last meeting with the witch, and she wondered if they'd ever leave her. They filled her with emotions, as if she was really living the witches early life. She felt as if she was in love and couldn't leave him. He was her father, and it was confusing having these feeling while she slept, and then completely different ones when she woke. She'd have to tell her father. Tell him she knew who Trisha was to him, and about the few times she'd met with her, about the prom and the week that followed. She couldn't imagine his reaction, and didn't want to think about what her mother would say.

Madison was still sleeping, so Taylor made her bed and got dressed. She needed a walk to clear her head. Time to think.

She left her bedroom and noticed nobody else was up. Good, she didn't feel like explaining herself right now. She left the house and walked down the street towards the town centre.

She made her way to the park in the middle of town, and sat herself down on a bench next to the lake. She watched the fish swim around, occasionally jumping up out the water before splashing back down and diving deep. She thought about how she'd love to be free like the fish. Free from Trisha and her spells, her manipulation.

The memories from her dream started playing again. Repeating themselves over and over until she felt like screaming. She stood up and they stopped. She looked around and there were several people on the grass now, so she moved down to the fountain to be more isolated.

She sat alone, listening to the steady stream of water from the fountain, for a good half hour, before a man came down, talking on his phone. He was angry at someone on the other end, yelling at someone, saying they should have said something sooner. Her thoughts moved to her own secrets. The secrets of her father, that she was keeping for him. It had to stop.

She started slowly walking home. Thinking over what she'd say. How could she bring the subject up? Could she just come out and say it without him asking too many questions about how she knew? She decided she'd probably have to tell him everything and hope, for her mothers sake, that he wouldn't rat her out.

_____

Madison had Geoffrey over for dinner. She often said he was her boyfriend, and when he arrived she pulled him into a tight hug and pecked him on the cheek.

Lisa ate dinner with the children while Taylor and Jackson were outside talking.
"When are we going to get married, Geoff?" Madison asked, deadly serious. Lisa hid a laugh, but couldn't hide her smile.
"Um... Well... We have to get engaged first and we can't do that until we're 16..." Geoffrey was shy in comparison to Madison, and was uneasy talking about marriage, especially around Madisons parents.
"How long do you want to be engaged for? A year?" Madison stopped to swallow her mouthful of food. "So we'll get married when we're 17?" Geoffrey swallowed hard and then nodded, staring at his plate of goopy carbonara. Madison grinned at her achievement and Lisa shook her head in disbelief.

After dinner, the kids went outside to play. Lisa cleared the dishes.

She felt a familiar sickness wash over her, and had to quickly put the plates on the counter. Just as Jackson walked through the door, looking a little worried, she ran off to the bathroom.

Jackson followed her and walked in in time to see her hovering over the toilet. He'd had something to tell her, but was distracted now.

Lisa stood up and saw her husband standing there. She forced a weak smile.
"I think I'm pregnant."

Next chapter will include Jackson and Taylors conversation in the garden, and what he wanted to tell Lisa. Although I think you all know what it was, and it's long overdue. Lets just hope he can tell her before she finds out another way...

  1. Double Whammy for Lisa. Ouch. At least Taylor realizes now that she HAS to tell Jackson what is going on. And I don't blame her for waiting. I wouldn't be looking forward to that conversation one bit.

    1. I know. It's all happening at once for her, but it's their own stupid fault for having a damn autonomous risky woohoo! (Ok, so techinally it's my fault for forgetting to turn it off after Mercedes got pregnant with Summer, but anyway...)

I think at this point (technically) Taylor has already had the conversation with Jackson. We just unfortunatly didn't get to see it because I had to set something up with Madison, and then Madison had to be at the end of the conversation next chapter... If that made any sense. If not, it will after next chapter has been read.

  2. Wow, poor Taylor! Having dreams and visions of some woman' romantic feelings and memories for her dad as teen *shudders*. I hope they find a way to stop that before she goes crazy.
Madison and Geoff were hilarious, I loved that conversation.
Looking forward to the next chapter!

    1. I know, Taylor needs to beat that bitch up.

Madi and Geoff are coming into it more. That was just my way of saying 'hey, look at these characters, I wonder what'll happen to them!' because Madison has been left out almost completely so far, but she has her part to play in all this too! :)

  3. Poor Taylor! I'm glad she's going to talk to her dad though and I hope Trisha gets her comeuppance

  4. That does suck for Taylor, having to have those memories like that about her own father; it would be very confusing.

And Madison and her 'boyfriend' are so cute :0)

  5. That crazy Trisha has no right to be all sad n stuff when, as I recall, she was the one to break it off w Jackson cuz she couldn't do a long-distance relationship. Grrrrr

  6. Madison just made me laugh in this chapter!

It is just wrong on so many levels for Trisha to make poor Taylor relive her own feelings and memories of Jackson. She shouldn't use the poor girl like that!

I think that Taylor finally told her Dad. I hope that's what she did and he does need to tell Lisa.

  7. That part with Taylor sitting all by herself at the park was sad :-( but beautifully written. Can't wait to read how her conversation with her father went.
